Notes: This is a tall plant. Where conditions are good it is tall enough to look you in the eye (1.5 to 6+ ft). The showy flowers bloom in late June and the fruit capsules are ripe in late September.

Flowers: Yellow flowers (sometimes tinged with red) are 2 ± inches across, each with a prominent 5 parted syle in the center of numerous stamen.
